About Our Savior's Lutheran Church
Our Savior's Lutheran Church, known locally as the "A-frame" church, has served as a community cornerstone on Virginia's Iron Range for over 125 years, with roots in the Norwegian and Finnish immigrant communities. The congregation offers traditional worship services, youth and adult educational opportunities, and extensive ministry outreach that impacts both local and global communities. Members work together to create a rich worship experience that welcomes families with children, and the church maintains active programs including a worship choir, confirmation classes, and youth groups. Beyond Sunday services, Our Savior's is deeply committed to serving neighbors through a community closet stocked with clothing and food items, monthly community breakfasts, and partnerships with local food shelves and social service organizations. The congregation also sends hundreds of quilts annually through Lutheran World Relief and hosts numerous support groups throughout the week, embodying its mission to be "Rooted in Faith, Growing in Christ, and Reaching to Serve."
