About Episcopal Church the Good
The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd has served the Columbus, Mississippi community since 1957 as a parish family devoted to traditional Anglican worship and sacramental practice. Located at 321 Forrest Blvd in a diverse neighborhood, the congregation affirms faith in Jesus Christ as revealed in Scripture and identified with the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church. The parish welcomes people from all backgrounds—married and single, young and old, liberal and conservative—united in their common goal to follow Christ, worship God, and advance His Kingdom. Good Shepherd centers its public worship on the Eucharistic Sacrifice, returning praise to God with reverence and embracing the devotional practices of the traditional Christian Church. The mission is evangelical, seeking to bring all persons to the knowledge and love of God while respecting the dignity and freedom of every human being.
