Saint Paul Catholic Church, located in Flowood, Mississippi, has served the Catholic community of North Rankin County since its establishment on June 1, 1978. The parish, currently led by Father Gerard Hurley, an Irish-born priest who has served the Diocese of Jackson throughout his entire career, welcomes over 800 families from Flowood, Brandon, and surrounding communities. The church is housed in an elegantly modernistic structure designed by acclaimed architect Sam Mockbee and completed in 1984, featuring a distinctive circular quartered window that inspired the parish logo. Beyond worship, Saint Paul offers comprehensive faith formation through its Catechesis of the Good Shepherd program, youth ministries including the Big Deal Youth Group and Lifeteen camp, and operates the Saint Paul Early Learning Center for preschool and daycare services.
