Word of Faith Christian Center in Hattiesburg, Mississippi was founded in 1997 by Bishop Orlando and Pastor Toni Burt, who transitioned from successful medical careers to establish a thriving ministry. What began as a Bible study in their medical office grew into a formal church with five adults and five children, eventually expanding to multiple campuses in Hattiesburg, Gulfport, and Jackson. The church emphasizes community building through small groups, book clubs, music productions, and family-friendly events, while maintaining a weekly television presence through the "Revelation Knowledge" broadcast. Under the spiritual oversight of Bishop Keith A. Butler's Word of Faith ministry network, the Burts continue to shepherd their growing congregations with a focus on biblical knowledge and congregational care.
