About Word of Faith Christian Center
Word of Faith Christian Center in Hattiesburg began from a Bible study held in the medical office of Bishop Orlando Burt and Pastor Toni Burt after they moved from Detroit to Hattiesburg in 1993. The church officially opened in 1997 as Word of Faith Christian Center Hattiesburg, beginning with five adults and five children. Today, the Burts shepherd congregations in Hattiesburg, Gulfport, and Jackson. The Hattiesburg church has a contemporary worship style and emphasizes community-building through small groups, book clubs, music productions, children’s ministry, and other family-friendly events.
