About Arm Church
Apostolic Restoration Ministry Church, located at 1020 West McDowell Road in Jackson, Mississippi, was founded on January 1, 2006, by Bishop Lanford E. Porter, Sr. and his wife, Darlean, beginning in their home with about 25 members. The church has grown to more than 100 active members and now operates from an 800–850 seat sanctuary on a three-acre campus. ARM is deeply committed to community transformation, partnering with the Henley Young Detention Center to mentor and tutor juvenile offenders, and hosting financial seminars and job interview etiquette classes for unemployed young men. The ministry also plans to open a Christian school on its campus. The church emphasizes the oneness of God, water baptism in the name of Jesus, and the infilling of the Holy Ghost as central to the faith experience.
