About Fresh Start Christian Church
Fresh Start Christian Church is a non-denominational congregation located in Jackson, Mississippi, dedicated to offering spiritual renewal through the teachings of Jesus Christ. Founded by Rev. James L. Henley, Jr., a Jackson native and graduate of Millsaps College and Mississippi College School of Law, the church began full-time services in November 2004 and has since grown to occupy the former Manhattan/Northside YMCA property at 5210 Manhattan Road. The ministry emphasizes God's Word and its practical application to daily life, addressing personal, emotional, and financial issues that may hinder commitment to Christ. Fresh Start welcomes all people regardless of background, operating with the belief that a fresh start in faith is available to everyone through Christ's saving grace.
