About Mount Helm Baptist Church
Mount Helm Baptist Church is a historically black urban Baptist congregation located in downtown Jackson, Mississippi, with deep roots as the first African-American congregation in the city. Welcoming people of every culture, color, class, and creed, the church is committed to holistic ministry that forms minds through teaching, ignites hearts through vibrant worship and prayer, and mobilizes hands through community service. The congregation follows five core commitments they call the Five Ships: faithful stewardship, intentional fellowship, bold leadership, life-changing worship, and costly discipleship.
