About Christ Lutheran Church
Christ Lutheran Church is one of the oldest Lutheran congregations in Mississippi, founded in 1888, and serves as the only Lutheran church in the Pascagoula area. As a congregation of the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod, the church remains committed to the Gospel of God's grace through Jesus Christ and the traditions of the Reformation. The church gathers regularly for worship centered on God's Word and the Sacraments, believing that in these means God actively works to give His grace and divine gifts to His people. Pastor Bill Maggard, who graduated from Fort Wayne Seminary in 2018, leads the congregation in its witness to God's truth and its mercy toward the surrounding community. Visitors are warmly invited to experience the spiritual rest that Jesus offers through faith in Christ, forgiveness of sins, and the fellowship of this family of believers.
