First Baptist Church of Philadelphia has served its community since 1850, originally organized as First Missionary Baptist Church before reorganizing under its current name in 1875. The church has a rich legacy of faithfulness, having rebuilt after a devastating fire in 1914 and opening its doors as a hospital and school during community crises. Today, the congregation gathers each Sunday for Sunday School at 9:45 a.m. and Worship at 11:00 a.m., followed by Small Groups at 5:00 p.m. Unified by Jesus Christ, the church seeks to glorify God through spiritual growth, community outreach, and discipleship.
