About Church of Christ
The West End Boulevard Church of Christ in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, traces its roots to 1940 when members from Paducah, Kentucky helped establish a local congregation beginning with a tent meeting and ten members. The church has grown steadily, constructing its current building in 1952 and continuing to serve the Cape Girardeau community and Southeast Missouri State University students through campus ministry. As a Church of Christ congregation, the church emphasizes adherence to New Testament doctrine and practice, with Christ as the head of the church and leadership structured around elders and deacons. The congregation gathers for worship and Bible study multiple times weekly and maintains active outreach through community service and support of the Children's Home in Paragould, Arkansas. Visitors are warmly invited to join the church family at any of their regular services.
