About Missouri Independence Mission
The Missouri Independence Mission of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serves the Independence community as part of a worldwide faith centered on Jesus Christ and His teachings. The church welcomes visitors to experience its main worship service, called sacrament meeting, which features songs, prayers, and sermons from congregation members, with the central focus on taking the sacrament to remember Jesus Christ. Following the main service, classes are available for children, youth, and adults. The congregation emphasizes being a Christ-focused community dedicated to loving and serving others, and members believe that families can be eternally bound together through the church's teachings and temple covenants. Visitors are invited to join this welcoming community and learn more about Latter-day Saint beliefs and practices.
