About Coldwater of Lee's Summit
Coldwater is a faith-based nonprofit organization serving Lee's Summit and surrounding Missouri communities. Founded in 2008 by a grassroots group seeking to live out Jesus' call to love neighbors, Coldwater builds friendships and fosters hope through direct community engagement. The organization operates a food pantry and clothes closet, distributes over 200,000 pounds of food annually, provides weekend backpacks to hungry students, and offers emergency assistance throughout the week. During summer months, Coldwater hosts a non-competitive T-ball program called League of Smiles and serves community meals. Visitors and those in need are welcomed without judgment to connect with resources and find support.
