Lee's Summit Christian Church is a Disciples of Christ congregation rooted in over 150 years of ministry in Lee's Summit, Missouri. Founded in 1870 by twelve members, the church has grown alongside its community and now operates from its current location at 800 NE Tudor, which has been expanded to support Christian education and community programs. The church describes itself as an Open and Affirming congregation that welcomes all people regardless of race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic status, practicing open communion and emphasizing inclusion in all aspects of church life and leadership. LSCC offers three Sunday worship services in different styles—a contemporary service at 9am called The Journey, an education hour at 10am called Faith Formations, and a traditional service at 11am called The Bridge—allowing visitors to choose the format that resonates with them. The congregation is deeply committed to witnessing God's love through worship, study, service, and community outreach, with a particular passion for justice and responding to local needs.
