About First Presbyterian Church
First Presbyterian Church in Liberty is a historic Presbyterian congregation whose first service was held on August 29, 1829, in a grove of trees on the northeast corner of Morse and Kansas streets. The church worships in a traditional Presbyterian format with a strong musical life, including hymns, vocal and handbell choirs, solos, and special music by church members and guests. Ministries include Christian education, camps, youth group, Bible study, and choir. Rev. Nikki Cooley is named in church leadership, and the congregation is in a period of discernment as it prepares for a new pastor search.
