About Sonrise Christian Church
Sonrise Christian Church in Marshfield began as a Bible study in the home of Charles and Joyce Embree on July 11, 2007. Its first formal service was held on August 5, 2007, with 38 people attending. The congregation met in a rented storefront and later in a former restaurant called Sheila’s Place before moving to its current facility. Greg Strickland was called as the church’s full-time minister on May 18, 2008. Sonrise grows from the Restoration Movement and emphasizes unity and biblical authority. The church offers Sunday School, a Sunday worship service, and a youth group.
