First Lutheran Downtown is an ELCA congregation located at the corner of 10th and Charles Streets in downtown Saint Joseph, Missouri. The church welcomes visitors with a warm, inclusive spirit and emphasizes that all are valued members of the worship community. Worship services are held on Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m., followed by fellowship and Sunday School at 10:45 a.m. The congregation celebrates Holy Communion every week and invites children and youth to participate fully in worship through singing, dancing, and the Children's Chat. Parking is readily available in the church's south lot as well as nearby street parking, and the building is fully accessible with reserved handicapped spaces, door opening buttons, and an elevator to the upper level sanctuary.

Dress Code: Dress however you like—people wear everything from very casual to more formal attire. Service Format: Every week includes Holy Communion; the pastor provides instructions before inviting everyone forward. A visitor bag with materials is offered, and children's activity bags are available at the sanctuary entrance. Visitor Tips: Arrive early to allow time for parking and check-in; doors lock ten minutes after the service begins, but a Ring doorbell is available for latecomers. There is no obligation to give money as a guest. Handicapped accessible parking and entrance available at the south lot.
