About Mir House of Prayer
Mir House of Prayer is a Catholic lay ministry founded in 1989 and operating as a non-profit organization under the auspices of the Bishop of the KC-St. Joseph diocese. The centerpiece of the community is the Chapel of the Holy Rosary, dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through the Immaculate Heart of Mary and established for 24-hour, seven-days-a-week Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration beginning in August 1999. The chapel was designated a pilgrimage site by the Bishop for the Jubilee Year 2000. Mir House of Prayer serves as both a physical location and a spiritual attitude centered on prayer, solitude, and peace for the faith community seeking renewal and growth. Visitors are invited to experience the contemplative environment and join in the ongoing mission of prayer.
