About Berea Temple

Berea Temple is a Seventh-Day Adventist congregation located in Baltimore, Maryland, with a rich history dating back to its official organization in 1900. The church occupies a distinctive Madison Avenue building, a Byzantine architectural landmark designated on the National Registry of Historical Sites in 1976, that was purchased from the Baltimore Hebrew Congregation in 1950. Under the pastoral leadership of Maurice N. Taylor since 2010, Berea Temple serves as the mother church of the Baltimore area and emphasizes spiritual renewal, discovering spiritual gifts, and reaching souls for Christ. The congregation welcomes visitors to join them for Sabbath School, Bible study, worship, and prayer, with live-streaming available for those unable to attend in person. As part of the worldwide Seventh-Day Adventist Church family of approximately 19 million members, Berea Temple is committed to enhancing quality of life and inviting people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and one another through worshiping, learning, loving, and serving.
