First Church of Christ, Scientist in Town and Country, just west of St. Louis, Missouri, is a branch of The First Church of Christ, Scientist in Boston, Massachusetts, founded by Mary Baker Eddy in 1879. The local congregation was established in 1958 as a Christian Science Society, with the current church building constructed beginning in 1965 and first used for services in October 1966. The church is dedicated to Christian Science healing and offers Sunday services based on weekly Bible lessons, Sunday School for young people up to age twenty, and Wednesday evening meetings featuring readings and testimonies.
