About St Paul's Lutheran-Des Peres
St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Des Peres is a vibrant, family-friendly congregation rooted in 177 years of faithful Lutheran tradition, founded in 1849 by German Lutheran immigrants. As a member of the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS), the church centers its worship and teaching on Jesus Christ as Savior, proclaiming the Gospel through traditional liturgical services in the main sanctuary and contemporary Christ-centered worship in the Living Stone service. The congregation emphasizes spiritual growth through regular preaching that makes Scripture meaningful, weekly Holy Communion, and extensive Christian education programs for children and adults. St. Paul's also operates a nationally accredited elementary school (K-8) and early childhood center grounded in biblical teaching, serving the local community and extending Christian care regionally and internationally.
