About Vedanta Society Of Saint Louis
The Vedanta Society of St. Louis was founded in 1938 by Swami Satprakashananda, a monk of the Ramakrishna Order, to share the spiritual wisdom of Vedanta and help people realize their innate divinity through practices suited to their individual capacities. Led by Swami Chetanananda with assistance from Swami Shivarchanananda, the society aims to establish religious harmony by presenting all religions as paths to God realization. The community gathers for Sunday lectures at 10:35 a.m., which are streamed online, along with special talks on Tuesdays and classes throughout the week covering Vedantic teachings and the lives of spiritual masters. All are welcome to attend services, participate in classes, explore the bookstore, and engage in the contemplative practices central to Vedanta philosophy.
