About Kent Memorial Lutheran Church-Elca
Kent Memorial Lutheran Church is a vibrant and active congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) located in Sunrise Beach on the west side of Lake of the Ozarks. Founded in 1951 as a mission church and dedicated in 1952, Kent Memorial has grown significantly and now features a modern sanctuary built in 2005, an outdoor Ireland Memorial Chapel overlooking the lake, and multiple ministry spaces. The church is deeply rooted in community service, supporting local elementary schools, food pantries, homeless shelters, and area hospitals through volunteer work and donations. With a dedicated staff led by Pastor Edward L. Foster, Kent Memorial offers traditional ELCA worship enriched by adult vocal choirs, handbell choirs, and other musical offerings, alongside robust Christian education and small group ministries for adults and families of all ages.
