About University City Children's Center
University City Children's Center is an inclusive early childhood education program founded in 1970 by nine community synagogues and churches, now serving up to 164 children across diverse socioeconomic, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds. Operating from its location in University City, Missouri, UCCC is built on core values of trust, empathy, compassion, love, and joy, with a commitment to putting children and families first. The center has achieved accreditation through the Missouri Board of Voluntary Accreditation and is licensed by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services. Known for innovative approaches to early childhood development, UCCC recently merged operations with Youth In Need's Early Learning Programs in 2025, expanding its reach across five counties and St. Louis City while maintaining its distinctive, inclusive curriculum and focus on social-emotional development.
