About Circle of Concern
Circle of Concern is a faith-based community service organization rooted in west St. Louis County, founded in 1967 by a coalition of local churches working together to address poverty and food insecurity. Operating from their dedicated facility in Valley Park, the organization serves more than 1,200 households annually through their client-choice food pantry, which provides wholesome foods including fresh produce, proteins, dairy, and personal care items to approximately 2,000 people each month. Beyond food assistance, Circle of Concern offers wraparound support services including emergency rent and utility assistance, counseling, career mentorship, scholarships, and youth programs to help families move from crisis toward stability. The organization is sustained by a team of seven staff members and more than 200 active volunteers who provide direct client service, pantry operations, and community support.
