About Saint John Mission
Saint John Mission in Clancy, Montana is a Catholic church with deep historical roots dating back to January 1, 1900, when Bishop Brondel purchased land for the parish. Originally constructed from a former Methodist schoolhouse and building, Saint John's was later renovated in 1980 and rededicated in 1986 under Bishop Curtiss. This mission is currently suspended but remains part of the Ss. Cyril and Methodius Catholic parish, which has served the East Helena area since 1899 with a commitment to spiritual formation and community ministry. The parish is inspired by the example of Saints Cyril and Methodius, dedicating itself to evangelizing and spreading the Good News of Christ throughout the region.
