About Holy Trinity Rectory
Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Brainard, Nebraska was established in 1888 and has served its community for over 135 years. The current church building, constructed in 1906 under the leadership of Msgr. Alois Klein, was dedicated by Bishop Bonacum in a celebration that drew 6,000 attendees. The church is distinguished by its unique statue of the Holy Trinity centered on the main altar, along with statues of Our Lady of Perpetual Help and St. John Nepomucene, reflecting the parish's deep Bohemian and Slavic heritage. Today under the pastoral leadership of Fr. Steven Snitily, the parish continues its tradition of faith and community engagement, hosting annual events including a fried chicken dinner and Knights of Columbus Poker Run. The welcoming congregation invites visitors to join them for Mass and to experience the rich spiritual life and historical significance of this rural Nebraska parish.
