About Good Shepherd Lutheran Church
Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Gretna, Nebraska has been serving the southwest Omaha area since its founding in 1979, when ten families gathered to establish a new mission of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. The congregation has experienced significant growth over the decades, expanding from its original location in the Gretna Town Hall to a full campus with a sanctuary, educational wing, and Ministry Activities Center dedicated in 2010. Today, Good Shepherd offers a vibrant ministry to families and individuals, including the Wee Lambs Preschool program serving over 100 children and comprehensive children and family ministries. The church welcomes visitors to participate in worship services and community ministries, inviting them to grow in faith and service alongside this thriving congregation in the greater Omaha region.

Service Format: Sunday worship is offered in traditional style at 8:00 am and 9:30 am in the Sanctuary, and contemporary worship at 10:45 am in the Ministry Activities Center; Wednesday traditional worship meets at 7:00 pm. Visitor Tips: Communion is offered on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month and the following Wednesday when not observing Lent; Sunday services and select events are streamed online for those unable to attend in person.
