About Mount Moriah Baptist Church
Mount Moriah Baptist Church is a historic Baptist congregation in Omaha, organized in 1887 and described as the first predominantly Black Baptist church in the city. Led by Senior Pastor Rev. T. Michael Williams since January 2022, the church has a long record of community service alongside its worship and teaching. Its outreach includes Concord Square, a 21-unit housing complex for elderly and low-income citizens, and Overcomers in Christ, an on-site drug and alcohol recovery program. Mount Moriah also regularly offers marriage and relationship education seminars, health screenings, and an annual Thanksgiving dinner serving more than 1,000 families.
