About Bethlehem Covenant Church
Bethlehem Covenant Church in Waverly, Nebraska is a Covenant congregation of approximately 300 members with roots tracing back to 1882, when Swedish immigrants established the church to spread the gospel. The church emphasizes loving God and loving others, seeking to obey the Great Commandment and Great Commission through the empowerment of the Holy Spirit. During the school year, two Sunday services are offered at 8:30am and 10:30am, with the first service featuring traditional hymns and a more intimate atmosphere, while the second includes modern worship, a children's moment, and separate Children's Church for PreK through 3rd grade. The church welcomes families and offers nursery care, Bible studies, small groups, and various service opportunities for visitors to connect with the community. Set on a beautiful hilltop surrounded by farmland northwest of Waverly, the church provides a prayer walking path and hosts monthly potlucks and regular welcoming events for new visitors.
