About Reno-Sparks Gospel Mission Inc.
The Reno-Sparks Gospel Mission is a faith-based nonprofit organization serving Northern Nevada since 1963, dedicated to helping people experiencing homelessness, hunger, poverty, abuse, and addiction. Originally housed in a converted hotel, the Mission has grown into one of the region's largest Christian providers of social services, having served nearly 15 million meals, provided over 2.7 million nights of shelter, and helped more than 100,000 people struggling with substance abuse. The organization operates a 13-month Christian residential addiction recovery program, food services distributing 500,000 meals annually, community support including groceries and clothing, and mentorship. With a philosophy of "big hearts and tough love," the Mission meets people at their point of pain, offering spiritual counseling, employment assistance, and social services aimed at whole-person restoration through Christ-centered care.
