About Trift Depot
The Reno-Sparks Gospel Mission, operating since 1963, is a faith-based nonprofit organization dedicated to helping people struggling with homelessness, hunger, poverty, abuse, and addiction across Northern Nevada. What began as the transformation of a former hotel and bar has grown into one of the region's largest Christian service providers, having served nearly 15 million meals, provided over 2.7 million nights of shelter, and helped more than 100,000 people overcome addiction. The Mission takes a holistic, Christ-centered approach to recovery, offering a 13-month intensive residential addiction recovery program, community services including groceries and clothing, and comprehensive food assistance to over 500,000 individuals annually. Operating with what leadership describes as "big hearts and tough love," the organization accepts people where they are while encouraging accountability and meaningful change through Bible-based studies, mentorship, counseling, and work therapy. The Trift Depot is the organization's retail thrift store, part of the Mission's broader ecosystem of services designed to rescue and restore lives in the community.
