About University Family Fellowship
University Family Fellowship was founded in 1983 by Pastor Robert Owens in his backyard near the University of Nevada, Reno, and has grown to serve the Sparks community from its current location at 1125 Stanford Way. Under the leadership of Senior Pastor Dan Sipma, the church emphasizes healing for wounded hearts, forgiveness, and drawing closer to God through a message of truth and love. The congregation gathers each Sunday morning at 9:30 am for family service and fellowship, welcoming all who seek to know Jesus and experience His love. The church traces its roots to a powerful Easter service in 1989 where members witnessed authentic worship and biblical teaching, and has since developed youth ministries and mission outreach that have shaped its identity. University Family Fellowship invites visitors to come as they are and to become part of their church family, or Ohana, as they pursue spiritual growth and community service together.
