About First Church of Christ, Scientist
First Church of Christ, Scientist in Nashua has served the community since 1898, making it one of the oldest Christian Science churches in New England. The church believes in the essential nature of God as Love and in the continuing healing power of Christ for physical, moral, and spiritual restoration. Services are conducted by two Readers who present lessons comprising inspirational texts from the Bible and the Christian Science textbook, accompanied by congregational singing and a solo. The church welcomes everyone to attend in-person or online services at their location on Broad Street, and also maintains a Reading Room that has served the public for over a century as a resource for study and contemplation. The congregation actively engages with the broader community through initiatives like the CROP Hunger Walk and offers a Sunday School for students of all ages to learn about God's love through Scripture and Christian Science teachings.
