Saint Philip Greek Orthodox Church is a historic parish serving the Orthodox Christian community in Nashua and surrounding areas of southern New Hampshire. The church traces its roots to 1906 when Greek-Americans in the region established the Annunciation Parish, followed by the creation of Saint Nicholas Parish in 1923. These two communities unified in 1971 to form Saint Philip, named after the Apostle Saint Philip, one of the twelve disciples of Christ. The current church building, completed in 1973 and consecrated in 1982, features a remarkable hand-carved Byzantine iconostasion that stretches across the sanctuary and includes a twelve-foot wide Royal Gate. The parish emphasizes hospitality, compassion, and prayer as central to its mission, welcoming visitors to experience Orthodox Christian worship rooted in apostolic tradition and living faith.
