About Nottingham Community Church
Nottingham Community Church, founded in 1875, is a welcoming Unitarian-Universalist congregation serving Nottingham, New Hampshire and surrounding communities. The church believes deeply in the power of love, compassion, forgiveness, and humility as vehicles for creating a more just and equitable society. As an interfaith community, the church welcomes people of all faiths, creeds, ethnicities, sexual orientations, and political affiliations, supporting each individual as they pursue their unique spiritual path. The congregation emphasizes ethical living and freedom in spiritual exploration rather than creedal restrictions. The historic Victorian building, dedicated on Christmas Day 1880, continues to serve as a spiritual home and community gathering place, having been painstakingly restored following fire damage in 2000.
