About New Hope Baptist Church
New Hope Baptist Church in Portsmouth, New Hampshire was established in 1969, emerging from the historic Peoples Baptist Church, the first Black Baptist church in the state. The church has a rich heritage of serving the community through spiritual growth and fellowship, having relocated to its current home on Peverly Hill Road in 1987. Under the leadership of Pastor Rev. Dr. Jerrell Riggins and the ministerial team, New Hope offers Sunday worship services at 11:00 am preceded by Sunday School at 9:30 am, along with midweek Bible study and prayer opportunities. The congregation welcomes all visitors with the spirit that everybody is somebody, extending an invitation to join in worship and community service.
