About Community Baptist Church
Community Baptist Church in Rochester began in July 1977 with eight charter families through the church planting program at Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina. The congregation purchased its Eastern Avenue property in 1978-79, and a new facility was provided on the same property in 1990 with seating for about 200 people. The church describes itself as family oriented, with a focus on glorifying God and meeting the spiritual needs of the community. Its regular programs include children’s ministry and a youth group.
