About Parkside United Methodist Church
Parkside United Methodist Church is a Methodist congregation in Camden with a long history in the Parkside community. Its roots began with a Methodist Sunday School formed on July 19, 1914, followed by the first church service on November 15 of that year. By March 1915, the growing congregation had moved to a local movie house, and in June 1915 the lot for the current church and parsonage was purchased. The church was dedicated as the “Sunday School Temple” on June 10, 1917, and the parsonage was completed in 1924. Today, Parkside United Methodist Church offers blended worship along with children’s ministry and a youth group.
