About St John's Lutheran Church
St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, located at 810 Broad Street in Clifton, New Jersey, has served the community since its founding in 1886. Now a member congregation of the Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod, the church moved to its current location in 1956 and completed its present building with an education wing and sanctuary stained glass in 1970. The congregation emphasizes Bible-centered worship and Christ-centered teaching, believing that the message of Jesus transcends social class, race, and external distinctions. St. John's is deeply committed to caring for one another and serving both the immediate Clifton community and those in need across the country and world. Worship services are held each Sunday at 9:00 a.m., followed by Bible study at 10:15 a.m., creating a welcoming environment for visitors to encounter the Word of God and join in Christian fellowship.
