About Citadel of Hope Mission
Citadel of Hope Mission is a contemporary church in East Orange, New Jersey, founded in 1972 by the late Rev. Mother Geraldine Powell. The church began in Mother Powell’s apartment on Springdale Avenue and later moved to its current building on North Grove Street. Led by Pastor Rev. Wade M. Barnett Sr., Citadel of Hope Mission continues its stated mission to reach souls for the Kingdom of God and spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Weekly gatherings include Sunday worship and a Friday prayer service, with children’s ministry, youth group, and small groups available for ongoing connection and growth.
