About St Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Church
St. Michael’s Ukrainian Catholic Church is a Ukrainian Catholic parish in Hillsborough, part of the Ukrainian Archdiocese of Philadelphia. The parish was established in 1950 by Ukrainian immigrants who had settled in the Manville area, and its first Ukrainian Catholic liturgy was celebrated by Rev. Joseph Atamaniuk on January 7, 1951. The parish purchased its first church building in 1952, and the current church building was blessed in 1988. A parish hall, completed in 1996, supports parish gatherings and community life. Worship is in the Ukrainian Catholic tradition, with Ukrainian and English used in parish life, and children’s ministry is among its programs.
