About St. Patrick & Assumption/All Saints Church & Rectory
Saint Patrick & Assumption/All Saints Parish has served Jersey City's Bergen-Lafayette neighborhood for nearly 150 years as a visible presence of Christ's love and commitment to the community. The parish was formed through the merger of three distinct Catholic communities in the 1980s, each with its own beautiful gothic or modern church building: St. Patrick, a grand gothic cathedral at the intersection of Ocean and Grand Avenues; All Saints, a smaller gothic structure on Pacific Avenue; and the modern red-brick Assumption church at 344 Pacific Avenue. Today the parish is a rich spiritual community blending the strength and stability of an established congregation with vibrant Catholic traditions from around the world. The parish welcomes newcomers and established members alike to experience their community of faith through the Eucharist and sacramental life of the Church.
