About Brookside Community Church UCC
Brookside Community Church is a United Church of Christ congregation located in Mendham, New Jersey, serving as a faithfully inviting and inclusive intergenerational community in the heart of Morris County. The church welcomes believers, doubters, and searchers from across the theological spectrum, including people of faith from a broad mix of religious backgrounds. As an Open and Affirming congregation, Brookside celebrates the worth and dignity of every person and welcomes individuals of every background, race, gender identity and expression, family structure, and sexual orientation into the full life and leadership of the church. Sunday worship takes place at 9:30 a.m. both in person and online via Zoom, with sermons that connect ancient scripture to life today and music that reflects the diversity of God's children using inclusive and expansive language. The church intentionally creates intergenerational worship services designed to welcome people of all ages and abilities to engage in prayer, praise, learning, and thanksgiving. All people are invited to participate in worship and Communion, celebrated on the first Sunday of each month.
