About Reformed Church of N Brunswick
The Reformed Church of North Brunswick began in the early 1900s when local residents gathered for weekly prayer meetings in their homes. As the congregation grew, members purchased land and built a chapel in 1919, which was eventually rebuilt and became known as Berdine's Corner Chapel. In 1945, the congregation formally affiliated with the Reformed Church in America. The church moved to its present location at the corner of Laurel Place and Cedar Avenue in 1959, with an educational wing added in 1967. Today, The Sanctuary of North Brunswick is a diverse congregation with members tracing their roots to over ten different nationalities, continuing the ideals of community service and spiritual growth established by its founders more than a century ago.
