About Bethel AME Church
Bethel AME Church in Pennsauken is now part of Bethel-Hosanna AME Church, formed in 2017 through the merger of Bethel AME Church of Pennsauken and Hosanna AME Church of Camden. Led by Reverend Richard F. Norris II, the congregation carries a long local history, with roots reaching back to the 1800s and an early congregation connected to the Underground Railroad in Jordantown. Its sanctuary, erected in 1926, is described as the oldest church building in Pennsauken. The church worships at 3465 Haddonfield Road and continues a legacy that has included approximately 47 pastors over its history.
