About Port Elizabeth United Methodist Church
Port Elizabeth United Methodist Church, established in 1785, is one of the oldest organized Methodist Episcopal Church congregations in New Jersey with over two hundred and thirty years of spiritual heritage in southern New Jersey. Led by Pastor Jim Scagnelli, who brings more than twenty years of Christian ministry experience, the church welcomes visitors to share in its mission to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. Worship services begin at 11:00 am every Sunday morning, and the congregation emphasizes an approach of Upreach, Inreach, and Outreach through meaningful worship, rich prayer lives, educational experiences, and active community service. The church is deeply involved in local outreach including health and wellness ministry, school supply assistance for Maurice River Township Elementary School, and support for widowed individuals through the H.O.P.E. support group. Visitors are invited to join the congregation in person or online via Facebook Live to experience a welcoming faith community dedicated to loving God and caring for one another.
