About St Joseph Shrine
The Shrine of Saint Joseph in Stirling, New Jersey is a Catholic spiritual home founded in 1924 by Father Thomas Augustine Judge, a Vincentian priest dedicated to serving the poor and strengthening the faith of immigrant families. Owned and operated by the Missionary Servants of the Most Holy Trinity, the Shrine welcomes over 30,000 visitors annually and offers a serene setting overlooking the Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge. The community celebrates daily Mass in English and Spanish, provides Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament throughout the week, and offers devotions to Saint Joseph every Sunday at 3:00 pm. The Shrine serves as a place of spiritual renewal and healing, featuring a beautiful stone chapel complex, an Oratory with a historic mosaic of Saint Joseph's life, and contemplative outdoor spaces including the Eternal Peace Garden and Columbarium.
