About Holy Counselor Lutheran Church

Founded in 1966 and housed in their current building since 1969, the church follows the standard Lutheran worship service order with a wide variety of hymns ranging from upbeat to traditional. The congregation emphasizes sharing and serving Christ's love while bringing God's word to all, creating a relaxed and grace-filled environment. In addition to in-person worship, the church offers online services via Facebook Live, typically beginning just after 9:30 am on Sundays. Holy Counselor is officially a Reconciling in Christ congregation and actively engages the community through programs like Vacation Bible School, Sunday School for children, and opportunities for spiritual growth at their partner camp, Cross Roads Camp and Retreat Center.

Dress Code: You are welcome to wear whatever makes you comfortable, from formal to casual attire. Service Format: The church follows the standard Lutheran worship service order, with a variety of hymns sung throughout. Children have Sunday School before worship at 8:45 am (September through May) and a designated play area during the 9:30 am worship service. Visitor Tips: Paved accessible parking is available both in front and behind the building. Worship moves outdoors to the Chapel on the back of the property from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
