Saddle River Reformed Church, officially known as the Old Stone Church, has served the Saddle River Valley since its founding in 1784 as a daughter congregation of the Old Paramus Church. The current sanctuary, completed in 1819 in the Wren Gibbs architectural style, features hand-hewn wood timbers and walls two to three feet thick, making it a striking example of colonial-era craftsmanship. As a member of the Reformed Church in America, the congregation embraces Reformed theology centered on God's unconditional grace and the belief that the Holy Spirit empowers believers to be the presence of Jesus Christ in the world. The church welcomes visitors into a community that emphasizes belonging and discipleship, with worship services held both in-person and online each Sunday.
