About Eparchy Of Passaic
The Byzantine Catholic Eparchy of Passaic, located in Woodland Park, New Jersey, serves the spiritual needs of Byzantine Ruthenian Catholics throughout the region and beyond. As part of a tradition with deep roots in America dating back to 1924, the Eparchy maintains the rich liturgical and theological heritage of Eastern Christianity in full communion with the Roman Catholic Church. Under the leadership of Most Reverend Kurt Burnette, the fifth Bishop of Passaic, the community celebrates the Divine Liturgy and offers various spiritual programs and outreach ministries. The Eparchy maintains the Cathedral of Saint Michael the Archangel and supports numerous mission communities across multiple states, welcoming all people regardless of ethnic background to participate in Byzantine Catholic worship and prayer.
